Petro Kotin, Production Director - Deputy Executive Production Director of NNEGC “Energoatom”, has been appointed to the position of General Manager of Zaporizhzhia NPP. The official presentation of the new manager to the staff has taken place today, August 27, at the daily meeting.
Introducing the new manager, Yuriy Nedashkovsky, NNEGC “Energoatom” Manager, has said: “I am confident that Petro Borysovych will handle all the tasks facing the staff of Zaporizhzhia NPP. And Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant is the basis of the nuclear power industry of Ukraine, and we used to call it the flagship, this plant has always made the most advanced engineering initiatives and appropriate organizational decisions, which have been consequently implemented by us for the utility. And I am sure that under the leadership of Petro Borysovych the plant will continue this way and will offer new innovative projects, “ Yuri Nedashkovsky emphasized.
In response, Petro Kotin, Zaporizhzhia NPP General Manger said: “My personal goal while working as Zaporizhzhia NPP General Manager, is to organize together with you, with your support, a management system with which Zaporizhzhia NPP will continue to be a flagship based on a number of power units, safety culture, by all indicators of reliable and efficient operation of the plant”.
Petro Kotin was born on April 13, 1961 in Vladimir. He graduated from the Moscow Engineering Physics Institute, specialty: “Nuclear Power Plants and Installations”. After graduation in 1985, he was assigned to the job position of Zaporizhzhia NPP reactor department operator. Has passed all stages of operations management, worked in the area of international relations. At the headquarters of “Energoatom”, Petro Kotin headed the production unit and worked on international projects. Since 2014, he has led the strategic project for Ukraine “Energy Bridge Ukraine - European Union”.
