Zaporizhzhia NPP Unit 2 has generated 200 billion kWh of electricity since the beginning of its operation.
"This milestone is a reflection of the stable work of the entire staff of the plant. Our main task is safe, reliable and efficient production of electricity, which we fulfil with strict observance of the requirements of Ukrainian and international rules, norms and standards on nuclear, radiation and environmental safety,” said Petro Kotin, General Manager of Zaporizhzhia NPP.
Zaporizhzhia NPP is a significant component of the fuel and energy sector of Ukraine. Annually, the most powerful power generating enterprise in the south-eastern region of Ukraine - Zaporizhzhia NPP - generates more than 23% of the total electricity production in country.
For more than 35 years of reliable and safe operation, Zaporizhzhia NPP has become the leading enterprise in Ukraine, providing the industry and the population with accessible and environmentally friendly electricity.
Currently, there are four power units in operation at Zaporizhzhia NPP. Units 3 and 6 are in outage.
Over the entire period of operation of the plant, Zaporizhzhia NPP employees have produced more than 1 trillion 176 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity.
Zaporizhzhia NPP is functioning reliably and safely. It is ready for further development and new production achievements.
