The commissioning tests of transformers have been successfully done

The specialists of Zaporizhzhia NPP Electrical Department took part in the commissioning tests of transformers produced by the Croatian company KONČAR Group, which manufactures products for the power industry. The commission was also composed by experts from each NPP of Ukraine.

During the working meeting, the representatives of the Croatian company KONČAR Group told the nuclear power industry experts about their production. They stated that they exported their products to 86 countries of the world and not long ago they had entered the Ukrainian market. The Ukrainian experts visited the factory in Zagreb, where they were shown the entire production line – the current transformers and voltage transformers from 6 to 750 kV.

The specialists from Zaporizhzhia NPP saw with their own eyes that the data stated in the technical specification meet international standards and those specific requirements for the equipment of 750 kV open switchyard of Zaporizhzhia NPP.

The testing, which consisted of 21 requirements, was successful. On completion of the working meeting, the protocols were drawn up for each type of test for standard equipment, and the acts of acceptance committee regarding their results were approved. There were no shortcomings revealed in the commissioning tests.

By the end of the current year, Zaporizhzhia NPP may receive the first batch of current transformers and 750 kV potential transformers – the equipment located on open switchyard (GRP-750).
