The public consultations about scopes of the next CCSUP Ecological Assessment will take place at ZNPP on the 1st of July, 2016

According to the Energy Strategy of Ukraine for the period until 2030 approved by order of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine No.1071-р of 24.07.2013, with the aim of further steady improvement of nuclear safety, assurance of efficient and reliable operation of the energy sector, bringing safety of nuclear power units of Ukraine to the level, which is in compliance with the internationally recognized requirements for nuclear safety and environmental protection, SE NNEGC "Energoatom" is implementing the Complex (Consolidated) Safety Upgrade Program of Power Units of Nuclear Power Plants (CCSUP).

The aim of the next CCSUP Ecological Assessment is the reassessment of the impact on the environment during CCSUP implementation with regard to modifications made in CCSUP in  2012 - 2015, its measures, completed during that period, as well as the actual changes in the environmental situation and its monitoring procedures, which took place since the completion of the previous CCSUP EA.

Implementation of the next CCSUP EA will include:

  • Specification of Environmental Assessment scopes;
  • Initial data collection and analysis;
  • CCSUP EA Report drafting;
  • Disclosure of the draft CCSUP EA Report and its public discussions according to SEP;
  • Finalization and publishing of the final revision of CCSUP EA Report.

With the purpose to specify the scopes of the next CCSUP EA, according to SEP, SE NNEGC "Energoatom" and SS “Zaporizhzhya NPP” plan to hold public consultations, particularly, meetings with stakeholders in a satellite town of Zaporizhzhya NPP - Energodar, which shall take place on the 1st of July, 2016.

The measure will be held at the SS ZNPP cultural and business center, address: Energodar town, Tsentralna str, 6. Beginning – 10:00.
