A public discussion of the Project “CSUP Ecological Investigation report for the period of 2012-2016 is to be held at Zaporizhzhya NPP on June 7th, 2017.

SE NNEGC “Energoatom” is implementing Complex (Integrated) Safety Upgrade Program (CSUP) for Ukrainian nuclear power plants, established by the Order No. 1270 dated 07 December, 2011 of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, to ensure further enhancement of nuclear safety, productive and reliable operation of the nuclear industry, bringing nuclear safety of Ukrainian nuclear power units to the level complying with the international nuclear safety and environmental protection requirements.

CSUP activities are implemented for the Operating Company funds and funds assigned as loans by European Bank of Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) and Euratom. First Ecological Investigation according to CSUP was performed in the period of 2011-2012, prior to conclusion of Loan agreements. Plan of ecological and social activities and Plan of involvement of interested parties were developed after conclusion of the Loan agreements, and they are being implemented at present. 

Plan of ecological and social activities and Plan of involvement of interested parties foresee conduction of a new CSUP ecological investigation each 5 years. The latest Ecological Investigation was started in 2016 with specification of its scope, after which State Enterprise “State Ecological Academy of Post-Graduate Education and Management conducted the environmental investigation upon request of SE NNEGC “Energoatom”.

At present, public discussion of its results has been initiated. The report on determination of the scope of the next ecological investigation and Draft “Report from CSUP Ecological Investigation for the period of 2012 – 2016” is published in Ukrainian and English and is available by the following link:

In the frames of public discussion of the Draft Report, SE NNEGC “Energoatom”, SE Zaporizhzhya NPP are planning to a public discussion in Energodar, ZNPP satellite-city, on June 7th, 2017.

The activity is to be held at SE ZNPP Information Centre by the following address:

The activity beginning time: 10.00.
